Okay I give up. I realize within one page it's going to go to sex, so I set it up that way. I'm honestly asking about relationships though.

What things must you have in a relationship? What makes you content with your lover? What is the icing on the cake? What makes a happy relationship? What would sacrifice or not sacrifice for that person? Or they you? Write for me people



I think I need mutual trust, respect, and warmth as musts. Attraction probably. Although in the past I have become attracted to people after I got to know them. So I can't say it's a must. One thing that really makes me happy is when my partner is happy to see me. A sense of humor is important to me. As I get older I find that I am willing to sacrifice less than I did in the past. I am no longer able to tolerate suffering at a lover's whims like I once was. I prefer to go along with almost anything for the sake of fun and harmony, these days by choice. My tolerance for discord has gown down considerably since I was younger. Icing on the cake is when he can fix things. It turns me on to see a man fixing something.

I was happy to see where you took the 'icing on the cake' bit. It's a personal bug-a-boo for me, when people see a relationship as icing on the cake. I want the full meal deal.

Awareness and curiosity are musts for me. Great conversation is vital. Sex is a must for me. Kindness is another must.
Playfulness and FUN, otherwise there really isn't any point to it, is there?

The things that rock my world is a man who "gets" me...my quirks,my failings,my shortcomings and who STILL loves me regardless.
Stimulating conversation,humour and plenty of great sex are high on my List,too.
A man who's challenging and never boring...........i wont tolerate selfish men in any way,shape or form.

It's taken me ages to answer this because the truth is I don't know but I'll tell you when I find it.

Being understood. Patience. Dignity. Respect. That's it. Plenty for me and what I offer in response to those things.

So true,Swannie,so i just posted what first came to mind................LIKE I USUALLY DO, but it's a 'loaded' Q,isn't it,coz there's so much you could say.

But,bottom line is i think its pretty much the same for everyone--to meet someone where there's mutual respect,kindness,etc and you just "CLICK".

It really *is* like looking for a needle in a haystack!

On occasion, at the same time can be pretty good.
