Men are more likely than women to enjoy sex in old age, researchers have found.

Obviously I would be interested in hearing from men and women here, how old are you and do you enjoy sex as much as when you was in your early 20's?

getting some action now would be a bloody bonus and if you come back in 20 years i may have some findings...

Clearly they're speaking of the *remaining* men who made it to old age... but let's look at what the article is *really* saying:
"At 55, men have on average 15 years of sexually active life ahead of them, and women only 10.5 years, the British Medical Journal reports."

Now why would that be? Oh I know... it's because as men get older, the ones that are left are getting poosy galore... they're getting it from women their own age, plus from the younger women too.

Women on the other hand are often hung up on dating a guy the same age or *older*... and that becomes a problem considering men don't live as long on average.

As a result, as men get older, the pool of women gets bigger. As women get older, the pool of men available to them gets smaller.

So I think what they're finding isn't that men "enjoy" sex more. It's that in old age, the tables turn in favour of men in contrast to women holding the cards when they were younger.

Personally I think this study is daft. When I read it, I'm left with the feeling that the researchers are ignorant in regard to some well know demographic realities as well as some well known social norms.

Either that or they don't know how to but 2 and 2 together.

I never looked at the link in question, i have no need to. I can say it from being an older man with some experience that i DO enjoy it more now, its not rushed as to getting my rocks off as fast as i can when i was alot younger and then thinking that it was good for her to, that is a younger man way of thinking. Experience has taught me to take the time and pleasure your partner, more times than not you will recieve that pleasure in return. Its not about recieving, its the giving, besides it turns me completely on to see, hear, and feel my lover getting pleasured, its not just about intercourse, its the building up of that inner passion, feeling it inside and of your whole body being excited. I am very content to be an older man with a high sex drive, and i don't see it changing anytime soon...

The pool has to "get bigger", or else they'd 'displace' all the water..

For you, over the next 15 years as the males in your cohort begin to drop like flies while the women continue to live on.
