Glad to hear everything is all right Hannah! :animals-ginger:

Dear Dorrey,

The windows are open in our house and lovely it is. I am ready for an end to the siege of summer and the heat. Today stayed in the seventies and it was so gorgeous outside that I keppt stepping out in back which made me irresponsibly late for my clients. :?

I will try to do better tomorrow...it is a short day. :D

Dear Diary....

This time tomorrow 'll be sitting on a hospital bed waiting on the go ahead to go under the surgeons scalpel... Nothing serious guys (not that yer that concerned), pollops removed, and synuses drained... haven't slept properly in four years...And sometimes my ears pop when I speak... Not good... Especially when doing historical presentations to the public ...

for now, coffee and classic FM.... Taking in the peace and quiet till the world awakens and my daughter is in demanding of breakfast and t'internet....

The cat brought a massive spider into my friend's house tonight ... why are people scared of spiders? It's always down to me to catch them and put them outside. Not sure I'd want one on my head though!!!! :o

The woods I walked through are out in the middle of nowhere and I know them like the back of my hand, I walk out at night alot Lally, I've done it for years. Stupid? Probably. I have the dog with me but she'd probably run away if anyone attacked me. Lolol. Having quite literally come face to face with a stag before I now know that having a torch can be helpful, but I often walk without it. Omg it was pitch black tonight though. No moon. No lights, no houses, nothing. Black. And they've let the poults out (baby pheasants) and all I could hear was the dog hurtling round flushing them out and I was thinking gawd don't kill it even if it is in the middle of the night.

We play at search and hide in our base, great fun... I have stood at a tree and he walked right by me, looked at me etc... The night can work for ye, and there could be advantages and disadvantages in carrying a torch, shining a torch in an assailants face in the dark can glare them, but don't bother wi a big one, unless ye can swing it... Either way, you take care in them woods...

Animals are harder than humans at hunting, and I am surprised you managed to get so near a stag Swan, nice one....

Trampy best of luck with the op tomorow. It'll be great to get a decent night's sleep I'm sure!

The stag: I don't hunt obviously, but I do walk out at night alot. For me it's about attuning my energy and being to everything around me, to walk with the environment rather than through it. I've found this way I'm not invisible but I'm not a threat, so the wildlife just appears. I've been able to walk through herds of deer this way, watch foxes catch mice, let badgers trot past me. I've come across quite a few stags but the one that caused me to take up carrying a torch was one moonlit night walking back from a neighbour slightly worse for wear, and as I rolled down the lane there was suddenly a snort a few feet in front of me and as I stood still and looked up there was a gorgeous stag in full antlers standing deciding if I was a threat or not. We stood there for quite a few minutes, I didn't move, he didn't move, we just felt each other and then he elegantly turned round and walked, yes walked in front of me as I went home. Omg my heart was pounding! I told the game keeper the next day who said "You stupid cow he could've killed you it rutting season". Hahahahahaha! Hence the torch. :D

Good luck, Saddle!...May it go well and you recover quickly...and may your lungs truly heal.
Strange, hearing how many of us have or have had lung issues...wondering if what I've heard is true, that the heart chakra area
is the one really weakened now in humanity - hence the magnitude of heart and lung imbalances and dis-ease.

Wow, Swan....I've underlined the essence for me and that's so beautifully and perfectly put - thank you for sharing your wisdom...
and I'm also grateful that stag realized you were friend, not foe. It just wouldn't be the same if you weren't such a heart-filled presence here.

Oh Willow don't. It's not wisdom it's just what I've always done, I did it as a child. I used to sit in the flowerbed and pretend I was a fairy.

Trampy I know alot of people get the giggles with meditation, y'know if you don't feel it then don'y do it, it's not neccessary to 'enlightenment' 'n all that, it's just a way of calming the mind. Personally I find there are loads of ways of 'meditating' ... sitting in the Lotus pose chanting Om is only one of them. Standing on a hill, breathing in the fresh air and listening to my heart is far more powerful for me.

And talking of listening I bet your neighbours are gonna be ever so grateful that you're getting those polyps removed. The snoring must be horrendous. Pmsl.

Excuse me, I don't snore!!... And I can prove that coz I have never hear myself!! In any case, they're too busy slapping each others arses and banging away and her shouting "aww aww awwwwwwwww", all night (I kid ye not)...

And yep, a hill wi the wind.... Or sitting 'neath a tree... Or watching go about their business... I like also throwing bread out (do it daily) and watch as flocks of the birds come by... Yep...
