Familiar spirit

The day after my mom passed away this black cat jumped through my window.I assume it was a Tom cat with his loud meow!. I never thought much of it, I gave it a fuss and out he jumped back through the window.
Two weeks passed, and my brother in law passed away and he appeared again..He sat on my lap for a while, then meowed loudly and back through the window he went.

It was about 6 months before he made an appearance again, The day my son went to Iraq. I went to make my bed and there he was, sat on my pillow grooming himself. He followed me all round the house and when I finished the house he went back through the window.

I commented to my friend who said maybe he is a familiar..Well I really don't know! but he does seem to appear when things are a little tense.

I did not see the cat for 2 years then the day my other son went off to Afghan he appeared at the window meowing to come in.
I gave him some food, being he was looking kinda 'thin' He ate his food and then disappeared.

It's been 6 months since I last saw him..The day my boyfriend went to Afghan, yup! you guessed it he is back..Only the window was closed so he got through an upstairs window. I could hear his loud familiar meowing on the stairs..
I fed him, gave him a fuss and off he went again..But This time..Every morning He is sitting on the window ledge waiting for me to open the curtains..So now I have a cat who picked my house to be home...

Familiar Spirit or just an hungry cat wanting to have a bit of fuss? you decide

I'd say it's your Momma's spirit. I'm not sure how animal reincarnation fits in with Christianity, but we do have dominion over all animals, as well as ourselves...

I'm always good to stray animals, some stay, others go... but I think it's important to feed anything that's hungry.

I enjoyed your story and hope to see more.

There are just times and days you have to ask yourself what have I become, what have I done, and how did I get this way?

I believe nothing is 'just coincidence'.

I also believe 'coincidences' or those times when synchronous alignments occur, are like beacons in the fog giving us a message
perhaps to pay attention, or to become more aware of that which is not in the physical realm, or to notice what we might normally miss....

It could be anything, but I believe it is not just coincidence this cat appears when it does....or just appears because it's hungry....
and, for all we know, it's possible you could be unconsciously calling the cat to you and not the other way around.....

Either way, it seems you have a connection with each other.....why it is and what level it really is on is all part of the wonderful mystery....

Can I ask, Storm....what do you think it is? What do you sense? What's your 'higher self' telling you about this?
However long the night, the dawn will break.

I don't know Willow..I do like to think it is somehow attached to my mom.. :P

Off to the shops now to buy a cat dish and some food..This cat is sticking around!..Sits on the fence waiting for the curtains to open..then 'bang!' he is running up the path! demanding little kitty!..Maybe I should give him a name?..any suggestions?

Whatever you do, don't undress in front of the cat! I think it's a shapeshifter waiting to pounce!

FYI: it's eyes make it look like a cat breed from KY... they are always black w/big round eyes. Look it up. I saw it on TV the other day; too lazy to google it at this moment.... T.G. I. (almost) F.
