Can I stick my toes in the water?
I want to feel the heavy salt carrying my weight
Still don't know how to lift it
beyond everyday occurrences
but I am certain
that a dip in the ocean
would help
I have decided not to use any signature at all... until I find one so revoltingly disgusting that it offends all who read.

however inadvertently
unsettling is the feeling
of having stepped on flower
growing through a crack
in the pavement

Intoxicating scent of crushed blossoms remained
long after the fool had retired from his game

And what might have been a mere crack on the wall
suddenly didn't appear so small

In the back of his heart her memory remained
long after the fool had retired from his game
I have decided not to use any signature at all... until I find one so revoltingly disgusting that it offends all who read.

thanks rasko for the first line

what we do with life's a decision
unity or division
tightly bound or free
woe or joy is me
each dealt our live's hand
both lowly and grand
focus where you choose
it's all to gain or lose

After a summer largely without
two weeks of rain leave the forest floor
soft and compliant to the task
and spade in hand the only official
takes solace in a black hearted night
that mercifully negates an incriminating moon

collar to the tailings of Igor
in short order a shallow grave is ready to receive
the unsubstantial remains of a cyber dream
without a corpse all is ceremony
but nevertheless necessary
to mark the passage of a living thing

yet no headstone will weather under hemlock
for with every turn of acquiescent earth
shame streams from the cap of
one the ostensibly rational adults
who should have known better than to
so gleefully incubate such an improbable thing

But if he buries my love
I know my heart
will only grab the mattock
and chip away at limestone
until I find the perfect shape...

oh, how my heart breaks
thinking of the day
I give up on him...
I have decided not to use any signature at all... until I find one so revoltingly disgusting that it offends all who read.

I will not let my heart break
thinking of the day
I give up on him
when that day comes
we will have given
all we're able to give
that the other could receive
the we will be finished
but each will be more, not less
maybe sad, but not broken

sure, we should know better than to
so gleefully incubate such an improbable thing
that two people so set in their ways
could hold together more than just a quick fling
to take a chance with past failures loomimg
would make us seem fools ignoring reality
knowing it's likely we're headed towards danger
lost in the veil of laughter and sensuality
sure, we should know better, could be
reckless with ours and others hearts
may be selfish but we have to admit
life's more fun together than apart

I'm not scared
my heart glows and a wide smile is born
thinking of you next to my side

I'm not scared
I don't care
I will not hurt anyone
or you
I just need to touch
this thing
I've dreamed about
for too many nights now...

Darling, I'm so tired
I go all day
sometimes all night
and I need you to make me feel right
you are my muse
my shadow in the dark
walking with me
when I'm scared
a little

I play for you
dance for you
breathe for you
I know it's true
and I'm crazy for doing it
but you make me want to be
more than I've ever known
just to have you
just to see you smile
I'd do fcuking anything
and I've never felt this way
before

Don't tell me I should be afraid
to walk through that door
for I made that trip
long ago
and there's no going back
just so you know
I'm stuck
riding luck
and teetering on the edge
of your grace
give me the taste
I've craved for so damn long...
if I write another song
will you come>?
I have decided not to use any signature at all... until I find one so revoltingly disgusting that it offends all who read.

Was written as a long (w/ refrain), and long since just left hanging out on my machine:

I could stand up on a stage, a crowd below,
and look all around and still feel alone.
Tons of attention doesn't mean a damn thing,
it could feed a big ego but its poisoning.

What matters the most is a dear friend or two,
a partner, the people, who see inside of you.
The people that you can let know who you are
those are the ones that can lift up your heart.

Some people come,
Some people go,
What matters is those
that touch our soul.

Good days we're "up",
Bad days we're "down",
Some days we're smiling,
and some days we frown.

Some things are constant,
Some things will change,
What will this day bring?
the question remains.

I've often been told I wear my heart on my sleeve,
as if thats wrong, somehow, the way not to be.
Whats wrong with letting people know who you are?
I'm a flawed human being not some perfect star.

I picked up some paper, I wrote down these words,
to put down my feelings, into some verse.
A glimpse of whats in me, the tiniest start,
but if you want to know me... touch my heart.
