pick a line, any line

Postby moon willow » 05 May 2010, 12:37

a variation on a theme....
we've done first line/last lines in writing a continuous poem,
well, here you can choose any line, or no line, for inspiration...
I'll begin with a slightly edited and re-shaped poem I wrote this past autumn.

the courage to face and embrace each new day
is an incredible blessing taking us all the way
from start to finish
and onto the next round
for when we feel our truth
there our love can be found
though we all have our times
when stress can bring us down
where we might wear a frown
confused with what's going on
or letting go can be real slow
wishing we didn't feel sorrow
yet with each moment there's also the chance
to remember the beauty of life's precious dance
However long the night, the dawn will break.

To remember the beauty
of life's precious dance,
collecting the memories,
and, as if in a glance,
each one a treasure,
the pleasure
the pain,
and yet do I know,
I'd do it again

To live with regrets, is a life unfulfilled!
REALLY?? Get a Life!!

collecting the memories,
each treasured bit
some are bloody
some encrusted with tears
the best ones have taken root
and a lovely garden grows

Give the credit to Moon Willow, she came up with the idea for it.^^^

and a lovely garden grows
tended with caring,
and the love surely shows,
the lushness of reds,
and the blossoms divine,
so gentle the hands
that tend to the vine.

the blossoms divine
that all intertwine
create the most elegant
meandering vine
like a triffid it climbs
then reaching right in
forever beseeching
heart loving passion
forever increasing
soul grown compassion
However long the night, the dawn will break.

Oooops! (Big Oops!) Thank you for the thread, Moon Willow! The name change suits you.

soul grown compassion
revealed
in the most mysterious ways
enter the wild
the unexpected
where the wild things are
stretch into the cave
that secret place
inside the heart
where buried seeds lie
germinating, pulsing
waiting to burst forth
cobwebs tremble
can you hear the roar?
compassion is loudest
when most active

Haha, thank you for the reminder, Moon.

thanks a-girl! and thank you for sharing your beauty here....
now which line to write from....so many to choose!

cobwebs tremble
a gentle breeze tugs their threads
as i move below making my tea
a spider dangles near with closed legs...

outside early morning dewdrops
hang on a perfect spider web
the sun illuminating the droplets
tiny rainbows glow from within...

bright sun rising over the pond
gentle breeze moves new green leaves
as bendy trees bow to greet the sun
while birds sing morning prayers...

this day in paradise has begun
However long the night, the dawn will break.

This day in paradise has begun,
where painted ponies spinning ride,
circling laughter, round and round,
never once breaking stride,
with sticky manes and tails aflair
the warriors ride without a care,
then all too soon the sun descends,
on paradise closed, now and then.

circling laughter round and round
the joy grew clearer in the sound
with feet still planted on the ground
it seemed our love had just been found

the trees leaned in so gracefully
a hermetic circle in the round
and we, totally and utterly unabashedly,
let laughter lead us like a hound
However long the night, the dawn will break.

a hermetic circle in the round
locust trees bowed to the ground
a there within this sacred ball
a girl just sat upon a wall

feeling grace from these great trees
basking face in the slight breeze
sun shone down to share her light
the girl sat still and surveyed life

a tear began to slowly rise
blurry vision in her eyes
mixed with sunlight...what a treat
for she saw rainbows oh so sweet

then from within her tender heart
flowing tears were at the start
her joy began to overflow
as laughter shook her body so

the trees, as if in symmetry
could feel her loving energy
then mirroring her action
the wind now strongly shook them

the obvious reflection
filled the girl with compassion
honouring with passion
this Spring day celebration
However long the night, the dawn will break.
