through letters newly uncovered
is the same soul made wiser
by reflection inward and out
time alone won’t make a human vintage
takes an open mind and heart

Thanks to all who have gone out of their way to make a fella feel welcome. Nice place you got here.

is the same soul made wiser
or has it it known along
its strength
its joy
its clarity
has it be ignored, shrouded
waiting patiently
in calm
in love
in charity

waiting patiently
I watch the water
gentle waves
moving endlessly
following some
on their journey
rocking to and fro
I have no where to go
but to be right here
watching the water
feeling her beauty
within my own body
feeling her energy
soothe me gently

hugs to all who have gathered here,
sharing our words...our souls...our hearts
However long the night, the dawn will break.

but to be right here,
right now,
without you, feels wrong.
My arms ache to hold you,
I long for your breath on my neck,
Not speaking a word,
Just knowing that you're there.

I long for your breath on my neck
and the lightness of your touch
Come to me my darling,in the dark of night
and release my inner fear
and make it right........

Well, methinks the lady did protest too much!

Brilliant to see you conquering the self-doubt. Well done, long may it continue!

it was all good, but where to go?

in the dark of night
that blends evermore
subsiding and blending
for no point
but calling the spirit
that wishes to sing
despite wounds
handed down
across generations
begging the question
of mending
how truth feels
when punched in the face
by people
who want answers
All creeds and kinds and colors of us are blending, Till i suppose 10 million years from now we'll all be just alike. Same color, same size. Working together. And maybe we'll have all of the fascists out of the way by then. Maybe so. woody guthrie.

blending from my calling spirit
color fills many pages
just more in my life
the one day ending story
from dark blue purples
to lightest yellow orange
screaching through
like a child banging piano keys
then softly cuddled in cashmere
falling asleep floating
in pools upon the shores
in the beaches of my mind

(I'll write more later when I take a shower
and find my notes from the coast today...
Muah my sweet friend! I love you!)

falling asleep floating
exhaustion has its way
mind in overtime
has drained the last of it
and I drift
opening my eyes to the unfamiliar
same species of trees
but not my landmarks
different branches
joining over head
arms too limp to paddle

hi cakey and roxy, great to see you here

the mummbled voices near and far
flying in the salty sand
as surfers call out to one more good wave
conversations never spoken
under too many dotted umbrellas
patterns all their own with coolers filled
with your favorite beer
ask for one and you may get lucky
the birds beg for kindness also
as the breeze kisses my skin
and the heat makes me pink
all in the swish of not white sea foam
making fine ground shell stick to me
inside my suit and places I dont like
just because I wanted to swim
with the fishes that steal bait
from the stupid tourists
on the planks never symetrical
although quite pretty tunneling out
into the ocean blue green with envy
wishing it could rest under a big hat
taking a day off in the shade
patterned boards sit quietly under the pier
that never match the shorts of their owners
that all know each other from summers past
with sun blonde streaks comsuming most
in neoprene vasoline and all machine
knowing only the sounds of your majesty
the roaring tide of the sea
with a towel and not much more
their cars always unlocked and everyone a look out
for where would they put a key?
certainly they have one even to their hearts
held by the not bikini clad babe that rides with them
tasting only the same saltiness
only noticing the waves they ride
not having a care for much else
as they all drool like some fool and act the tool
sipping the clouds for supper
as I sit watching...
wondering what every grain of sand
could speak if asked
of past days when snakes slithered
turtles layed eggs that were not eaten
horse hoofs had no shoes
and the sea oats smothered the dunes
taller than most houses today
I am sure the ancient grains miss the solitude
without modern mans madness
masking the melodies made
by the simple sounds we can no longer hear
thanks to the noise of people
pretending to be something
in Oakley sunglasses
and Wal-Mart swim suits
driving trucks two months behind in payments
so they could shake and bake by the waters edge
on summers vacation almost to an end
with only sand left in shoes
shaken by the doors far away
with only memories of the coast
