continuing cinquain

Postby moon willow » 23 May 2010, 00:48

cinquain follows this structure of syllables per lines
2, 4, 6, 8, 2...
let's start one and see where it takes us....

stillness
two cats sleeping
yet also listening
to the soft sound of my typing
these words
However long the night, the dawn will break.

these words
will last longer
in cyber space and time
so I have a care for my words
and me

(Hahahaha, future words reaching back to past typing...sometimes I wish I wasn't so recklessly optimistic.)

this life
or any life
so consumed with hatred
can only have one final act
it's death
REALLY?? Get a Life!!

welcome my friends! patching both your last lines....

and me
it's death not yet
living passionately
feeling compassion saving me
to be

to be
an entity
alive on this planet
means growing humility from
within

within
each one
loving hearts shine
from illumination
like the sun with loving action
we glow
However long the night, the dawn will break.

we glow
in morning light
sun rising through the clouds
cell phone sends you off a work day
bird songs
"Ring the bells that still can ring, forget your perfect offering, there is a crack, a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in." Leonard Cohen

morning calling
just before the sunrise
hidden in silhoetted trees
listen
However long the night, the dawn will break.

listen
woodpecker taps
water laps against dock
geese honking their wake up call while
I laze

I laze
early morning
light sillhoetting trees
inviting me to greet the day
sleepy

sleepy
yet headachy
while here in my chimney
baby raccoon talks to his mum
loudly
However long the night, the dawn will break.
