I posted a story on a writers forum and

I noticed that there were a lot of people from the UK on that site so I posted a comment about why were there all tea bags on that site? But then they kicked me off the site. Forever. So what's wrong with being a teabag or a wonk? I figure the English are lovable second rate power losers. Do a little monkey dance! English are charming and polite. I am an American born dual citizen. I'm partly Canadian. The part where the medical system is falling apart but it's better than nothing except for the pain.

Maybe you were kicked off because it was a writers forum and people found it hard to make any sense out of what you were actually writing. Or possibly being writers they were all pedantic about grammar and spelling. Who knows?

No. It was on there for a a number of weeks and I provoked the ban because I was bored with the site. They had no view count. I have a thread on POF containing over 130,000 words. My view count there is 12,800 and something. That is five thousand more than the next closest story, and that story has been on POF for five years, as opposed to my 10 months.

I abandoned the POF thread, "Breaking in on dice", because it was a point of contention in my current relationship. In other words I was not single and yet I was on a dating site. And it was creating stress in my relationship. It wasn't worth it.

I got a web site under construction and I just mailed off a 78 + thousand word count manuscript to a writers contest at SFU.

I won't hear till late fall if at all. I won't hold my breath. These stories are memoirs.

Anyway, that's why I don't miss POF too much. There are a lot of damaged, bitter types on there. And some of them moved over here. When I post here or when I posted on POF I goofed a lot. Sometimes stupid people can't catch irony.

There were no spelling errors in the OP. My grammar was rather tortured. Which it sometimes is. But it has never diminished the power of my discourse, the power of my stories, which was my focus.

PS: are YOU a teabag?

Gosh, restless native..love that avatar..lol..

I did notice that there are a lot of English ( or Great Britain) posters on this site..kinda cool since I didn't get to interact with them much on POF...
