My son is a gamer. The first time he flew a plane he flew it by instrument because he couldn't see over the panel or through the windshield. The pilot asked me if he played video games because he was a natural pilot. I hear the air force and navy use video games to train pilots.

When hubby past away my son's counselor was also a gamer. I asked him if gaming was detrimental. He bombarded me with the positive effects of gaming. He was the first medical doctor I ever met who encouraged gaming.

He is a smart kid. He keeps his grades up, helps others, and is very respectful. Both my kids are prolific writers, and have been published. (just had to throw that in there) He plays whenever he has the chance.

I think sometimes we old fogies are afraid of technology and things we don't understand. My son tells me it's important to keep things in perspective and judge each situation on an individual basis. I suppose anyone can take anything to the extreme, even forums.

There are just times and days you have to ask yourself what have I become, what have I done, and how did I get this way?

Everything we hear is an opinion, not fact.Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth!!
